Originating from Nara, Japan, the popular yakiniku restaurant Yakiniku Horumon Matchan has opened its first location in Hong Kong. True to its name, the restaurant specializes in "grilled meat x muscle," featuring muscle representatives from Japan who will make occasional appearances during dinner service. Diners are even invited to participate in a pull-up challenge; those who successfully complete the specified number of pull-ups can enjoy a free serving of grilled meat.

Among the highlights of the menu are the daily specials of black-haired Wagyu sirloin and black-haired Wagyu lean cuts, both signature dishes from the original restaurant in Japan. These cuts lock in the juices during grilling, enhancing their flavor. The Wagyu sirloin features perfect marbling that melts in your mouth, while the lean cuts are tender with a rich beef flavor, and diners may also have the chance to sample rare cuts.

In addition to Wagyu, the restaurant offers Korean-style grilled pork belly, domestically sourced chicken, seafood, various appetizers, rice, and soups. A must-try is the three-star curry rice, delivered directly from the Japan headquarters, featuring a secret curry recipe cooked with Japanese Wagyu for an aromatic and flavorful experience.
