Tai Hang

is a charming urban enclave where heritage, culture, and creative living come together in a nostalgic neighborhood setting.

Nestled between Causeway Bay and Jardine’s Lookout, Tai Hang was once a Hakka fishing and farming village that evolved into a residential neighborhood. Its grid-like streets are lined with old tong lau buildings and narrow alleys, preserving a strong local character. The area blends tradition and modernity, with classic cha chaan tengs and auto shops alongside trendy cafés and boutiques.

Tai Hang is best known for its annual Fire Dragon Dance during the Mid-Autumn Festival—a 67-meter-long dragon parades through the streets in a spectacular display of smoke, fire, and rhythm. This century-old ritual is recognized as part of Hong Kong’s intangible cultural heritage.

With its relaxed pace and rich stories, Tai Hang offers a unique glimpse into the soul of the city—perfect for those seeking authenticity, creativity, and community spirit.
